Locally valued heritage

Lydney is one of Gloucestershire’s most historic towns. It is home to more than sixty historic buildings and features of national heritage importance.

But it also contains other historic features highly valued by local people. These can be buildings or other features of local heritage value. They may remind us of Lydney’s past or been home to a locally famous person.

The Neighbourhood Plan can add protection of our locally valued heritage when planning proposals are decided.

Please look at the map below to see suggestions local people have made so far.

Do you agree with protecting local heritage? Tell us about any other historic buildings or features you think should be included on our local heritage list.
