Planning housing to meet local needs

Help Lydney plan the right housing

Forest of Dean Council is preparing a new Local Plan for development up to 2041. Lydney can expect to accommodate a further 2400 new homes, new employment and services in the coming 15-16 years.

Lydney Neighbourhood Plan can guide future housing to meet local needs. A bespoke Lydney housing report commissioned by the Steering Group identifies particular ongoing need for Affordable Housing and demand for small homes and larger four bed houses to add local choice. You can read the report online here.
